Processing Principle
The principle behind hydroentanglement for reinforcing fiber webs is similar to that of needle punching, but instead of using needles, it employs multiple fine water jets generated under high pressure—these jets are sprayed onto the fiber web by a hydroentanglement machine. After passing through the fiber web, the water jets rebound off the supporting mesh screen and then penetrate the web again. As a result, the fibers within the web undergo displacement, interlocking, entanglement, and cohesion under the hydraulic action of high-speed water jets flowing in different directions, thereby strengthening the fiber web.
